Can I arrive by car? I read that you are located in a pedestrianised area

Yes, even though it is a limited traffic area, it is possible to drive as far as our hotel.

Are there parking facilities?

Yes, we have a car park next to the hotel and also on request a covered garage 400m away.

Can I bring my dog with me?

No, unfortunately pets are not admitted.

Are there facilities for children?

Yes, the Lupigno Kids club, a play area for children with qualified staff, where they can even learn to ski. The Centrale Ski School offers this service all year round.

Is entry to the hotel spa free?

Yes, it is included in the price of the room. There are also a range of massages and face and body treatments available at an extra charge.

Does breakfast also include food for those with food allergies?

Of course, we are happy to cater to a range of requirements, please let us know in advance.

Do you have disabled access rooms?

Yes, the Hotel Sonne offers comfortable disabled access rooms.

I am allergic to carpet, do you have any rooms without it?

Yes, we also have rooms with parquet flooring.

Do you have a ski and bike deposit?

We have a deposit with heated lockers and a garage for bikes.

Am I allowed to smoke in the hotel?

No, Hotel Sonne is a "no-smoking Hotel".

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3.00 pm, and check-out is by 11.00 am. Late check-out is available on request, subject to availability.

Is the hotel open all year round?

Sonne Hotel is open during the winter season from December to April and during the summer season from July to September. Opening and closing dates are subject to change. How far is the hotel from the ski slopes?

Sonne Hotel is located at Via Plan 151/C, in the pedestrianised centre of Livigno, just a short walk from the ski lifts. Guests also have access to a ski room with individual lockers and a heated boot rack.

What does it mean for the hotel to have CasaClima A+ certification?

CasaClima is an energy certification issued by the CasaClima Agency, recognising buildings with a very high level of energy efficiency and a heating energy requirement of less than 30 kWh/m²a. Certification is based on a rigorous assessment protocol established by the CasaClima Agency. Key features include comprehensive thermal insulation, high-performance windows and doors, and careful control of air flows.

Is it possible to use the spa exclusively?

Yes! The wellness area at Sonne Hotel, which includes a Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, Turkish bath, frigidarium, plunge pool, Kneipp path and relaxation area, can be booked for exclusive use by guests of a single room from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm, at no extra cost (The time and duration of the visit may vary depending on the number of bookings on the day). From 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm, access is open to all our guests.

Is half-board available?

We do not offer traditional half-board, but rather a high-quality gastronomic experience. In the late afternoon, we welcome you with our refined Gourmet Tea Time. The evening continues with a culinary journey through the local cuisine. Livigno boasts an outstanding culinary scene, ranging from traditional restaurants to renowned gourmet establishments. We would be delighted to recommend a restaurant and reserve the perfect table for you each evening.

What is the Gourmet Tea Time?

It’s our exclusive afternoon treat, designed to delight you when you return from a walk or a day on the slopes. Included in your stay every afternoon, except Saturdays, it features a refined buffet of sweet and savoury treats: a carefully curated selection of local delicacies, finger food, artisanal desserts and tempting creations from our chef. Drinks are not included. Winter opening hours: 5.00 pm–6.30 pm. Summer opening hours: 5.30 pm–6.30 pm.

What is the Stube and what are its benefits?

The Stube is the traditional living room found in Alpine homes, traditionally panelled in wood to retain heat and create an intimate, cosy atmosphere. Our Stube is a truly special place: it is the only historic feature preserved from our family’s former hotel, which was demolished in the 1970s, and has since been incorporated into our new Boutique Hotel. Entirely panelled in Swiss stone pine (Pinus cembra), the high-altitude tree native to our mountains, it offers a range of natural benefits for wellbeing:

• It promotes relaxation and helps reduce stress: the essential oils released by Swiss stone pine can help lower heart rate and promote a sense of calm and tranquillity.
• It supports rest and sleep: its natural properties can help promote relaxation and restful sleep, supporting recovery after a day spent outdoors.
